We celebrate Human Rights Day on 10 December every year, in commemoration of the proclamation of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. The Declaration, which is probably the most influential document in the long history of human rights was declared by the United Nations General Assembly in 1948. Hungary, a member of the United Nations Human Rights Council is firmly committed to the implementation of all human rights and will continue actively to take part in turning the ideals of the Universal Declaration into every day reality.
