The annual discussion on the rights of the child took place today at the 46th regular session of the Human Rights Council. We pointed out that the protection of the rights of the child is of utmost importance for Hungary. We stressed that all must be done to build a better world where children’s rights are promoted and protected and where no child is left behind. In our intervention we reminded that one of the Government’s high priority objectives is the assurance of receiving all the resources and services, which are vital for children’s physical, mental and spiritual development, even during lockdowns, quarantines and other types of restrictions, since the Fundamental Law has explicitly enshrined the right of children to the protection and care necessary for their proper physical, mental and moral development.
